Walao, I got indigestion now.. @#!@%#. Okayyy. I have been complaining to God that my holiday was so packed with church and I have no time to do my assignments! So yeahh, he postponed not only one but TWO! assignments for me. MUAHAHAHAHAH. I'm lovin' it.. God is ever so faithful:) Actually I have to admit la.. i think i will have time to complete but i was too lazy. Nehnehnipoopoo.. thankYouDaddy! Aiya, byebye.. need to get back to do the first assignment that was postponed to friday. |

Ooh!! Look what I found when re-arranging my cupboard to accommodate my recent buys. (I'm not a shopaholic!! It's just that it makes more sense to buy during 70% sales! <- Not an excuse either. ;p) My mother's evening gown!! I found it quite fitting. Any bigger and the zipper won't budge. The people in the 1980s sure are skinny and small with proper waists!! Maybe next day I shall fish out my dad's suit and give it a try. Last time I wore it, the bell bottoms won't let me sit down or it threatened to split at the seams! If I remember correctly, she ROM-ed at 21 and held the banquet at 23. Oh my gosh. I'm TWENTY-TWO.

Last Friday in Urban, an additional segment from The Straits Times for sartorial digs, announced the trends we should look out for in the coming year. Celebrity snipper Kim Robinson who famously charges cuts at $1,580 projected that long hair is back after women trimmed theirs last year. Fashion sounds like a merry-go-round all in a bid to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. A fad is fueled and the previous is thrown into the dungeon only to find that it needs to be resurrected soon after and then we look for something else to kill. How does a trend surface? Does the leader a.k.a. some world famous specialist open his mouth to declare a trend, and everyone else follows because, well, that's the 'in' thing and we all want to be seen as being in the same mindset of the maestro? Slowly, people latch on to the particular fashion and retailers realise that this is the kind of design that sells and so more shops produce this kind of clothes which inevitably 'coerce' the rest to comply because that's all that is on sale. By then, a few fad has entered the scene and a new popular emerges. The other futile rat race.

Went up for altar call today during service . It was a call for a renewed and clean heart. Ps Daniel came and prayed a short prayer which meant so much to my heart. I needed to remember this every moment of my life. Thank You Lord.. |

We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn. It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking. This is the great paradox.

The dawn of a new decade, the starting of a new year and re-energised economy. One more year as a human being, yet another as a Christian. Usually I wouldn't have a specific 'goal' or desire for the year, just a general 'let it be a good year', whatever that might mean. This year, I don't want to settle for just so~so and I'm gonna write it down so I will remember. As I read a book, I wondered why I couldn't see God as someone closer. Sure, I know He is Almighty and powerful and loves and cares for me and my family, but sadly, it's mostly head-knowledge. I want to know Him as a man, as a person, as my best friend, just like the author did. Why can't I be more 'alive'? Life should be more exciting and beautiful. And I yearn for that 'something more', that 'sweet-er song'. Have a blessed, meaningful year ahead and may your dreams become reality!!

 2010! a year passes too fast, and im sure this new one isnt gonna be much of a difference. havent got much time to reflect and ponder, but im sure theres gonna be alot of time in sanfrancisco & hongkong to do that but most definitely, God family closest friends remain the most important few hope you guys had a blast! :)
